TEEN RAILFAN PLACE- LETS TALK TRAINS !

  • Hey guys, nice pics Matthew, Noah, and Richard, hopefully you will see mine from yestarday if rp accepts them
  • Hope so!
Richard, I'm not suprised you haven't heard of it, it's a very short short line that goes from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Windsor, Nova Scotia.
    Noah, nice paint scheme!
I'll scan in the second photo at a higher DPI, and we'll see what they say!

  • Hello, I am in the process of uploading pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  • What is so special about the SD40-2 H1 well my freinds and I on our yahoo group tell if it is H1,H2,or H3 and I have gotten used to posting it in my post in the group and it was a FYI letting you know what the paint was.Richard I was posting that for other people that didn't know the spirts and speaking of spirts there are some engines with peoples names under the number which are like the spirts.

  • OK.
I appealed the rejection citing the rarity of this loco, and we'll see...I'm also going to scan in the pic at a higher DPI now.
    Actually, it's a bit blurred, so....no.

  • Yeah, now that I look at it....
I've rescanned it at 1200DPI as opposed to 750, we'll se how they like that! I also got this one rejected for bad cropping (Which I expected) http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=187211 and I will apeal it saying that it has good composition. Or something. Well, back to homework...

  • I just got 2 accepted- click on the link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • More 3/4 wedge shots....at least you now have a bunch on there, 17! GJ! I try to go fo more artistic, and they always say it's "Bad angle" or "Bad cropping" or give me some jack-a-ninny excuse, like "too fuzzy" "The sun is too high" well to them, I say "Why won't you like me...."

Richard Click here to go to my rail videos! Click here to go to my rail photos! .........
  • Matthew- Thanx for the coment!!!!!! I am sorry they are not accepting your pics- I like them. Don't give up!

    Richard- Nice stuff!!!
  • Matthew, I tend to notice that they only except 3/4 wedge shots. I take quite a bit of other stuff too, but only bother uploading the wedgies, as otherwise they don't take them. The weird part is that they say they like artistic shots too....

I don't get that Stupid "High Sun" reason they give. First they ask for units in full midday sun, and then they say that midday sun causes bad lighting!!! I really get upset when they rejected my photos for only that reason........

Matt, I saw your new pics while flipping through the newest photos, some nice shots!

Well guys, I am going to go get ready for bed and do a little railroad reading. I picked up a copy of Great Model Railroads 2006 while at the hobby shop yesterday, and now I have to go read some of it!

    Noah
  • Noah, I totally agree about railpics. I once submitted a photo that I took of a 4884 that I saw in a museam, and they said that it was cloudy day / common poewr. ????

They do only seem to take wedgie shots. Whatever, I like them anyway [:D]
