Sounds pretty cool!
Man, i have so much HW today, just finished 2 online math tests, and now I have to do 2 hours of cello practice, an essay for english, and a lab for physics as well as a page of practice problems.
There is a severe wind warning here today, with gusts up to 150KPH!
BTW, BLI has released some new paint schemes for their SD40-2, CP and SOO!

Hey guys, sorry I wasn't around last night, I had four tests and a quiz today, so I was doing some major cramming last night. But I did have time to go check out the WSOR local last night. They had 2053, an ex IC SD20, know a WSOR unit, and a few cars and a little work to do.

I personally haven't missed many days of school in my entire career. I usually miss one or two a year, but I think the longest I've been out was for about four days in 3rd Grade with the Chicken Pox. Otherwise we plan our vacations in the summer, although there are days when I wish I could skip school to go railfanning.

I too love taking winter/snow shots, its just too bad that it has to be so darn cold when the snow is on the ground!! This year my goal is to head over and take some shots of the Amtrak Empire Builder and the occasionaly CP freight in the snow.

I'm not going to stick around much longer tonight. I have a meeting of my Modular group tomorrow, and I want tot gather the stuff I have to take for that tomorrow, and then I want to work on writing up my little e-mail newsletter. I'll see you all later.

And to everyone else, have a good weekend. All i have for HW is math. I got two BBall games tomarrow, dought ill play, because i sprained my thumb playing football, ALL black and blue, so that sucks. Maybe some fanning on Sunday.

Very cool, Chris!! But you have the loco model for the GCFX Gray Ghost w/ Blue Stripes wrong, unless there is some sort of misunderstanding. Most of those locos were rebuilt SD40s. They were upgraded to Dash 2 standards in the EMD shops. Since, they applied Blue Stripes to the upgraded locos. I've already seen two of them with the blue stripes!!! One on an eight-loco consist.

There is a funny story to go with that shot actually- It is a very very very rare ex Great Northern SDP40

I was on a yard tour with the model railroad club that my dad and I belong to, and while in the van one of the guys saw the back of this thing, with the vent in the back and was like " arrggg!!!!!! An SDP40!!!!!!!!! Stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The tour guide ( guy who worked fo the railroad) even admitted it was a rare piece and walked all the guys with cameras ( myself inclded to go shoot it.... FUN FUN FUN!

Alec-what are you talking about, gone in2006? I don't want to miss them! Oh, how I asked to see the WC when I was in ontario...
So now Iam trying to get ahead in math....my physics techer says if I just got some assignments in and studied, i could easily have a mark in the 90s, but my engri***eacher is not so optimistic.

Sorry I haven't been on for awhile guys...

Unfortunately, life is starting to revolve around other things than trains, though I did have an interesting experience the other night. Heading to play practice, I was listening to my scanner in the car, and it stopped on the local UP Road channel. Through the garble I made out "car on the ground" and "First Street." Ends up the local switcher to the scrapyard on the branch line in town derailed three gondolas right next to a grade crossing. They'd just jumped the tracks, nothing huge as far as damage, but it sure made the crew angry, seeing as it was about 10 degrees outside. I got a few decent pictures of the lead unit by setting my camera on the ground and propping it up with my gloves (we all make sacrifices sometimes-cold hands, or no picture?). They ended up just leaving the cars there overnight, and as they pulled back up to the main line, a hotshot piggyback train went from about 30 to a dead stop to talk to the switcher crew for about two minutes, probably trying to figure out which track the switcher should take back to the yard in Nelson. Kinda funny how a car full of rusty metal can put a kink in the entire Overland Route.

not a personal holiday and the last time I missed school beacuse I was sick due to a waffle house.I even went to school with a twisted ankel.

I had a great day had a prep rally even went to see the Lynx beat the Inferno 9-5 in their building what a great day

Richard- CN has ordered new locomotives and they are coming in early 2006, and there for they wont need the WC units. Most will be scrapped. Some are to be sold.
