dude where have you been for the last 10+ years have you not seen any black horses running around called Norfolk Sothern(NS).[:D]

    Also I have been in a GP50(7083),GP59(4615) both NS and 3 CSX's I think 2 of them were a CW40-8 or AC4400CW and a AC4400CW for sure and the last one was a SD60M # 8766 and also been in a CP Rail SD40-2 # 6073.

I would like to work on the rail road one day not sure which one but CSX is my choice right now infront of NS but only if I get a job on them that I get to stay close to home like on a local would like to stay close to my family when I get older.

  • Noah, I'll watch for you on Popphoto. Over there I am Erieltd - a railroad name on a photo site. Go figure.

AC6, any of those camera brands will do the job. All you need is to be able to control your shutter speed.
  • I like to be able to control my focus, too. It's really good to have a camera that focusses where you want.

  • I have MSTS and Trainz...but don't play them at all. I bought my copy of Trainz the day it came out, which was a bad idea. It had a ton of bugs in the programming still, and none of the updates seemed to help any. I also played MSTS for about a year and a half, but I accumulated so many downloads and different routes, and with that, various missing files, etc. I ended up reformatting my hard drive and deleting all the files on my system. In both cases, I probably still would, were it not that the downloads are so big, and I still have 56K.[V][*^_^*][banghead][sigh]
Was home sick today, so started trying to get some pictures on railpictures.net. You guys weren't kidding, it is hard to get them accepted!

Guess I'll have to hope the weather around here holds out before the leaves all drop.
BTW, will they accept black and white? I didn't see any on the site, but I have a whole bunch I could submit...

  • I've got MSTS, and I like it much. I've got the Sandpatch add on, and a bunch of WSOR downloads from www.train-sim.com(including one of the route that runs from Lodi to Reedsburg WI along the WSOR, right up to my town!!) I really like The program alot.

Photogeek, your right railpictures.net can be hard. They will take Black and White too, infact they do seem to like it quite a bit. I've got one black and white photo of a shay on there myself(see the link in my signature).

Well guys, bot a whole lot of homework, but I'm still going to keep moving, as I'd like to do some planning as to what I'm going to do on my Module on Thursday and Friday when I have off. I'll have to figure out where I want everything to go now!!

  • I got MSTS. I got a bunch of payware add ons, i just really cant stand some of the freeware junk. I got Maple Leaf tracks Add ons. Streamlines add ons, Diesels West. So ya, i dont have much freeware. I like MSTS a lot, its fun if you make it fun. Ya, railpictures can be a pain. I got 5 pics on there, and im satisfied. I dont go looking for a "railpictures" shot either . I take what i take, and then when i put them on the comp, i play with them and then if i think it has a chance i put it on there. www.rrpicturearchives.net, thats where i put most of my pics. They dont screen them so just upload away. Look in my pro for pics.

  • Hey photogeek, nice pics! Although....Quote:Notice: This rejected photo will be deleted completely 3 days after its initial rejection. Therefore, please do not link to this page or photo in any way. "
Well, they were really nice pics...I've got a few I'll try to get on.
There is this one that may be spoiled by the railway bridge, but the colours are amazing. Red and orange mountains (sort of) a deep blue sky, and the trains coming out of the mountain. Wish I had had my telephoto that day....
Wow, I am having a really boring week....

In and out fast today again. I've got things to do and places to go. So not much time to be around. But, I will be around a good bit tomorrow, after school, and nothing will be due till next Monday!!! So I'm happy. I'm going to get going I think, I'm working on drawing some structure plans for my module's buildings.

  • Yeah, tried appealing the one of the Amtrak. That got shot down too. Oh well. I usually don't spend much time editing pictures on the computer (cheating!). But all of a sudden I've started to find new ways to salvage what otherwise might be a tossed out picture (i.e., bad lighting, low exposure, crummy sky). Question is: do any of you guys have Photoshop, and to what extent do you use it?
