The other day I was watching trains in a parking lot near the jane and steels area of toronto and the locale police had me leave. Has anyone else had problems there and are there any other good places to watch trains in toronto? rambo1..............

That's wierd; I have never heard of Toronto Police having problem with railfans in general. Do you know what the reason was?
The only thing I can think of is because of the London Attacks, authorities all over major cities are a little antsy right now. They might need a cooling off period where they aren't so emotionally involved and under media scrooteny.

I was there with my kids sitting in the car well away from the tracks and the vaughan township police told us to leave or I could face a hefty fine from CN police. rambo1......

If you were not on CN property, they have no right to ask you to leave unless it is a municipal code violation or a breach of provincial or federal law.
Make sure that you are on public property and if they harass you again, report them.
It might be a good idea to talk to your M.P or M.PP and seek their advice to make sure that their isn't any legal reprocussions that could occur.
I'm sorry that you have had this problem; Niagara Regional Police have never had a problem with me and neither has CN Police whom I have talked to sometimes just to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.
