Great Northern # 1246, a 2-8-0 last seen at Woodland Park, Seattle, Wa.

    I was just wondering if anyone out there in reader and subscriber land has any idea what ever became of the Great Northern Engine # 1246 that was on display at Woodland Park in Seattle for many years only to be taken out of the Park many years ago and I have not heard of it since. Any info on its fate would be appreciated. Bigoly.

    It's currently stored in Merril, Oregon. I heard also the current owner is selling it for $35,000!onephoto.cfm?display=987
