As is normal for GE, they don't hold the rail, they are not impresive, they ride very rough, they are better with the 4400 HP prime mover. GE baught a 5000 HP diesel engine from a German company and double turbo charged it to get 6000 HP. They are not reliable at this stress level. They will never equal an EMD for comfort, ride or tractive effort. 42 years as an engineer.

they whernt that bad...more software issues then anything...from what i can remember..they road just as good as a 44... but i didnt like the computer screens in them.... the way that the data was layed out with small numbers...they where hard to see unless you know exctly where to look ...
