Im looking for help trying to figure out all the diffrent trucks under certain locomotives. Does anyone know of a good source of pictures of the diffrent trucks and there names? I've heard things like AAR type A or B, flexicoil and others. Any help would be appreaciated. Joe A.

If your public library has a set of Car Builders Cyclopedias, they would be a lot of help in your research. Just look for the book with the year of interest to you and started thumbing through... You can also now buy these books on disc if you want to go that route.

Better yet, if you can get your hands on the various "Diesel Spotter's Guide" editions, they include photos of virtually all EMD, GE, ALCO, BLH, & AAR trucks. The books are published by TRAINS.
