Years ago I had outdoor trains, got tired of the maintenance and sold out. We bought a New Bright Christmas train set, it seems not to have enough power to run at a slow speed, I have adde several cars and wide open which is too fast. These look cool but are junk. What I am thinking is replace the transformer which is ten volt with a Bachmam starter transformer 17 volt. My question is will I burn everything out by using 17 volt which also has more amps I believe? Thanks
This is only used at Christmas around the tree, for me I am not very experienced in electrical matters
