The new BNSF SD70ACes are moving over the CN mainline in Michigan for delivery in Chicago. A BNSF SD70ACe was pulled at the end of a loco consist on the South Bend Subdivision after 8:00 P.M. on Sunday. A primer white SD70ACe was behind the BNSF SD70ACe.

Where do the new locomotives have to be to officially be placed in service on the BNSF?

  • A great number of CN trains end up at Proviso, but it does seem unusual that a UP yard is where BNSF locomotives are put into service.
