Looking for some guidance

  • My husband's grandfather has had a stroke and is currently in a nursing home, we would like to get him a small train and track for him to place on is table by his bed at the nursing home. Can you please point us in the direction to locate a small oval track probably about 12" x 8" or close to those dimentions as possible.

    Thank you

  • go to a toy store... alot of them have stater sets that come with oval track that would fit your needs...if the toy store donts have them...try your local hobby store... they will help you find something that will work out for him in the space limits

  • I don't know what his capabilities are... A more toy like set as described might be better. As far as the serious hobby stuff, you would have a hard time fitting anything but Z scale in such a small area, and Z Scale is extremely tiny to work with, even for people in perfect health. If you can go a little bigger, you might try N Scale. Kato sells sets of N track that are pretty easy to assemble, and some kits include the loco, cars, and everything you need. Maybe something like this:

  • Recently, Dollar Tree carried a Toy Train, track and cars. All sold separately, all costing $1.00 each.

Windham Heights was the Christmas edition of this train. But there was also a regular version of it too.

Hope your pap has many good days ahead!
