it would be nice to have a link to a specific post in a thread, instead of saying see john doe's 3rd response in a particular thread. 

It would also be convenient if each response was number (e.g. #3)

But I have problems creating links to pages at cs.trains.com using Firefox.

Greg, it seems that you would like to have a private conversation with another poster--which can be done by clicking on that poster's avatar and then looking for the heading that invites you to start a conversation (there is one poster, though, to whom I have wanted to send a PM, but there is no heading that allows me to do so).

Or, Greg, you can quote the post to which you want to specifically reply--after my previous post, I re-read yours and decided that I had misinterpreted yours.
