after being away for ten years i started putting kd couplers on my rolling stock now i have alot more derails how do i know when i have them properly installed ?
Get a Kadee coupler height gauge and you won't go wrong. You'll know at a glance if the coupler is too high or too low. Derailments caused by Kadee couplers are almost always because of the trip pin snagging on track joints in curves and on rails in turnouts and crossings.

Micro-Mark has a plier made to adjust your trip pins. It is part number 80600 for HO or 80892 for N. The cost for either is $12.95 and I think it is well worth it. Check it out at their web site or in their catalog.
thanks i will get one!
