Movie "The Station Agent"

  • Has anyone seen this movie? Although it was not all about railroading, it was very sweet and kind. The migit man, who was a railfan, moved into an old depot next to the Suesquanna Class III line. Great shots of yellow Suesquanna U25Bs, plus one shot of an EMD MP15. So has anyone else seen this?

  • Saw it , liked it, recommend it.
  • Good movie; lots of bad behavior, though (walking between the rails ::shakes head:: hope nobody is dumb enough to mimic that). Oh, and those were NYSW B40-8W's, not U25B's.
  • My wife and I liked the movie. The funniest part was the eccentric painter running him off the road the SECOND time [(-D].

For those who catch drama details, the moment in the Lionel hobby store where the little guy was working on a model, and a standing figure beside him falls when the old man himself falls and dies. The movie doesn't show the old man falling, but uses the Lionel figure to "tell" you what happened.

    Take care,

  • I saw the movie and highly recomend it,even though the "railfan" insisted on always walking down the middle of the track.
