Hello Everybody,

My name is Spencer and I'm a college kid from the University of Central Florida. I am, and always have been, an avid rail fan and i volunteer at the Hawaiian Railway Museum when I'm home from college visiting my parents. The reason I'm joining this forum is that I'd like to stay more informed about railway related topics and hopefully someday work as an Engineer for BNSF.

I'm no "official" welcomer, but welcome anyway.

May I suggest that you also frequent the magazine forum at:

http://cs.trains.com/TRCCS/themes/trc/forums/threadlist.aspx?ForumID=111

There are also forums for specific interests, such as Steam, Locomotives, Passenger, etc.

I have never seen a good explaination as to why there are these 2 "General" forums (one for "Trains.com" and one for "Trains Magazine", but the other one seems to be much busier.
