we just took the train from Antonito to Chama. It was the most beautiful ride we did. We got lucky to learn about this beautiful boutique hotel that just opened in Antonito. their web site is www.1911hotel.com it is right across from old depot and blocks away from train station. Dwn comforter,flat screen tv, Wi-Fi. make sure to stay there when you go to Antonito.
If you get a second chance to ride the "C&T". Get on at Chama. The engines have to work a higher grade to reach the peak. I love to see and feel the engines working.
It has been many (to many) years. The old hotel in Chama is over looking the station and yard.
