railroad Derail sign

  • I was up in Northern part Wisconsin, I came across three derail sign at a scrape yard.  Now I have all three of them.

My question is, Which railroad could these derail sign come from?  The shafts are yellow and the derail sign is blue circle with 4in white lettering.    I'm From North Carolina, all the derails signs I see around here totally all blue.  Any iedeas!

     Thanks for the help.

  • Mystery solved......Bow [bow]  As I started to clean and remove the paint, so I can restore them back to the they sould look.  Yellow shafts and blue shields with white lettering.  I found stamped markings on shaft of each of the Derail signs.  M.R.R.R.  (Milwaukee Road Railroad).

Just curious and I'm probably completely wrong, but wouldn't the Milwaukee Road(Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific) derail have CMStP&P RR stamped on it?
