Here in Canada, after we finish school, our art class goes down to the train yards and competes in who can dress up the old freights best.

But then again, Canada is a country where art is appreciated.  Is that the same in your country?

I enjoy photographing TRAIN ART.

"Art" is in the eye of the beholder.

Here in Sin City, a couple of "Artists" just got slammed by the Man - Jail time, hundreds of hours of community service (painting over their, and other people's "art") and thousands of dollars to be paid in restitution to the people whose property was (NOT) "improved" by their "art."  Mayor Goodman is leading an all-out attack on this kind of vandalism - and all but a miniscule part of the communty is with him.

I'm sure that if you were a railroad employee, you'd much prefer a legible car number to somebody's crap "art."

Just my , but I'm willing to bet my position will find a lot more support than yours.

As a Canadian, I just want to point out that despite what the original post implies, not all of us go and deface private property when we get out of school.

Sorry, this is still vandalism and it costs the victims millions of dollars to get ride of.  Note in the supplied photo, that the reporting marks are no longer legible, and who knows what else got covered up.

Then I think you might appreciate the backlash to this subject, and it's growing every day, a lot of people are now running large, wide,  painted lines down the middle of these so called "works of art"--- sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it ?
