I'm real fond of Daylight on the PA/PB and Black Widow on the F7A/B but the Bloody Nose scheme does nothing for me.
I like the Warbonnet on my E8A/B and PA/PB but like the Bluebonnet on the F7A/B freight.
I'm fond of NYC Lightning Stripe but not cigar band, and love the B&O grey and blue passenger/freight on the E6A/B and F7A/B, but not other paint.
Love the Great Northern paint with the greens, but not the others, not the original pumpkin paint, not even on BNSF, don't like that on my SD70 models, plan to never buy another BNSF. MoPac looks good in blue/white.
If I find B&O in blue and grey in F3A/B or F7A/B they will be running through to So. California with SP.

Heritage !! BNSF and Executive paint schmes are the favorites. Only exception is the black of the Pere Marquette 1225.

Admittedly, the almost carnival paint schemes of the Western roads pretty much renders the consrvative colors and patterns of their Eastern counterparts- -mundane. That difference comes down to a matter of personal taste and familiarity. And, "that difference comes down to" personal opinion. Funny thing about "opinions," they are like belly buttons; every one has one.

I voted GN but also favored the old CN Green Black Gold scheme. Grew up with both schemes and favored the GN as I rode those trains most often but did ride summers on the CN from Vancouver to Kamloops and Edmonton. Even the CN Black and white with red lazy three logo was a great scheme when the entire train matched. The transition on the CN seemed to take forever.

Personally I like the current IC gray and Black E units that are kept spotless and I get to see regularly at Woodcrest shops outside Chicago but if you asked then general public the ATSF passenger war bonnet would win hands down. More people probably kow that one more than any other.
