Favorite cab unit paint scheme

  • I voted for other with two choices: Erie Lackawanna maroon, gray and yellow and Genesee & Wyoming orange and black as seen on Australia Southern's JT26C's.
    The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

    I like them alot (there among my favorites) but there so overrated.
  • Gulf, Mobile, and Ohio "Alton Route" Maroon and Red.

    Also the similar Chciago Great Western scheme.

  • Although blue is my favorite color, I must admit that I like the Santa Fe's Warbonnet the best. The Bluebonnet and Yellowbonnet Were pretty good too.

  • Who comes up with these daffy polls? They forgot the Wabash, Frisco, Illinois Central, GM&O and Nickel Plate, all of which had MUCH classier paint schemes than most of what's above.

    To answer question one, you're talking to someone who remembered to exclude Penn Central. To answer question two, in case you didn't notice, there are 15 polls, that's 15, no more, no less. There is a limit to 15 choices. We would have put every scheme we could think of (including Penn Central).

    I agree The GM&O & ICG were my favorites Im Oruiginaly from Mosspoint Ms Home Of Mississippi Export RR But I grew up Around GM&O & ICG the Only Other Id vote for would be ATSF Red & Silver Or Red & Yellow SPSF paint scheme
    the Navy blue And yellow was good Also I Have A picture Of Santa Fe's Yellow letter blue background from the early 70's its very fragile and stays on my wall
  • The PRR paint scheme for their Baldwin RF/BF 15a and 16a Sharks: Brunswick green, 5 pin stripe, with a PRR Keystone.

    I also like the Jersey Central tangerine (orange) and blue F-3s.

  • I also love the Santa Fe warbonnet and The blue great Northern scheme, but lest we forget the beautiful RIO GRANDE single stripe deep yellow and silver........thats my vote
