Model of a Pere Marquette X500 Class Express car. Essentially, this car was rebuilt by the PM from USRA boxcars. No commercial model is available, thus the need for this car. The model takes 4hrs to print, trucks included. Parts you see not printed: Walthers 33" metal wheels/plastic axle, Kadee #5 (complete box), altered Athearn car weight, 2) 2-56x1/4" truck to weight screws, 2) 2-56x1/8" for couplers, Kadee #637 truck springs (not in photo). I used a Win7 PC to drive an Anet8 printer with the following: RepCo 1.75mm ABS "White", 220c temp on a .40 brass tip standard throat, 90c heated bed constant to end of part, no fan on part. Sketch Up and Simplify 3D software. Model does operate and is ready for details, paint, and lettering.
