CNJ RS3 No. 1554

This is my Stewart RS3 kitbashed to represent the Jersey Central's No. 1554. I needed two flat kits to have splice the long hood sides to have the correct number of carbody air filters. I added details from Details West, Custom Finishing, Precision Scale, and castings from The Gingerbread Stop which are now available from Shortline Model Products. I took the photos outdoors on a small diorama. The CNJ covered hopper is scratchbuilt; the Pennsy boxcar is from Funaro & Camerlengo. In the trees in the background of the photo is the right-of-way of the never finished South Mountain RR east of Harriasburg, PA
