PW&NJ Boxcab 130 brings a small local past the depot in Herndon, Virginia. The N-scale boxcab, based on the first production Alco/GE/Ingersoll-Rand 60-ton boxcab CNJ 1000, was built using an old Atlas caboose shell, scrap clamshell plastic (the stuff they use to package electronics, etc. that is likely to draw blood when trying to open it), electric guitar string, parts-box junk, and EIDE computer cable (for the radiator grids). The station is a paper model built from photographs of the real station (I live near there) and the micro-layout/module this is on was built from some leftover scraps of masonite and some foam I found next to someone's trash (I do model railroading despite my low to non-existent budget, so resourcefulness is the modus operandi).
