My Ultimate DCC Throttle (UDT) for a HO gauge model railroad EMD F7A locomotive, the custom made cab close to completion.
The Arduino computers and associated electronics that have been setting on my workbench is now mounted behind the cab dash board.
Much of the throttle stand is completed with the addition of switch control box mounted on the side. Independent Brake valve is detailed as well as the bell valve. All indicators and switches are of the style used in the 1950’s.
There are two floor sections; one to mount the dash, brake and throttle stand; and the second to mount the cab seat to. All sections use nut-plates so it can be easily disassembled for transportation. In addition, all electronic controls can be disconnected by use of MS3102 style connectors.
The window assembly mounts on top of the dash and is the same profile of an F-Unit except scaled down. The 48 inch LCD monitor which is bigger than the window, stands in front of the window just about 6 inches away so there is a little sense of depth when you look around.
We’re getting very close to actually running the 1080p camera equipped HO locomotive with this Ultimate DCC Throttle!
