By using simple paints and detailing I was able to bring out some additional features of the ModelPower kit representing an old homestead that can be found in most Western and Mid-western states. Several of the techniques I use are painting with all acrylic craft paints, purchased as craft paints these various color choices run much less in expense than the traditional pre-mixed hobby specific paints. I hand painted all of the detailed parts, added some extra features to the kit and made it appear to have a new paintjob albeit bright yellow, this in itself brings to life more of the layout and realism that the kids love so much!
