PGE wood caboose #1806

The Pacific Great Eastern (PGE) was a British Columbia railway that operated out of North Vancouver and Squamish and into the northern BC Interior.  It nearly 90 year history is intriguing, changing names to British Columbia Railway, then BC Rail with the line now absorbed into the CNR.  Good technical reference reading and photography is in "British Columbia Railway" by J.F. Garden and "Route of the Cariboo" by Adolf Hungry Wolf

This PGE caboose is built from styrene sheet based on plans in "The CARIBOO", a magazine published somewhat sporatically by members of the PGE/BCR SPECIAL INTEREST SOCIETY, which was discontinued a few years ago. The photo was taken on my Columbia Salvage module
