Another freight car from my own collection, is this Modified Athearn Blue Box kit. This car starts as a 50' plug door box car, that has been modified using a railbox-style Youngstown sliding doors. The roofwalks was gone, and the A end ladders has been shortened, as on some prototypes. Custom painted and decaled for the NdeM, and patched for the TFM (now KCSM). Equipped with Kadee 58 couplers, uncoupling bars, wire grab irons, new Kadee brake wheel, etched platform on the B end, new sill arrangment and Athearn's new tooling roller bearing trucks.
