man i had an ez command once - untill it blew up - it was an american one but i'm in australia the amp and voltage is different here - i was so so so so so excited, got it from ebay awaiting it's arrival [which was pretty quick] and then silly little me just thought he'd use a japanese camera battery charger converter as the step down from the wall socket to the ez command station - some white smoke and a popping sound later i figured that i stuffed it.

had to learn that one the hard way and the guy at the electronics store laughed at me quite muchly as did i.................oh well

wow have you got some work to do, i say this in a kind and friendly way to you.....you've got heaps and heaps of options in terms of scenery and maybe adding a holding yard or even a loop over a small bridge - you can really do whatever you want.

And remember - if your happy with it and it's your hobby it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks..........you'll get heaps of tips on the forums pages though, plenty of people are more than willing to help.

Good luck and may the train be with you.

UPChuck if you are a ture UP fan you will like this PIC of me!

Chuck, you need some tress in a bad way! PM me your address and I will send you some. I have some pine tress I made that are around 8" to 11" tall so they may be over powering. I have some trees that are around 4" or so. I will send you around 20 for free if you like. I have I would guess 100 that are not planted yet and at the rate I am moving on the K-10 Mining Section you maybe driving before I am done!Big Smile [:D]

As far as the E-Z Command, that is what I running as well. Some poeple sell it short. Funny thing I have around $1600.00 of BLI, PK and Yeck Genesis runing like a champ on a used $30.00 E-Z. I am not just right and like it that way!

If you have room I have a engine repair shop I don't need and some cheap rolling stock as well. If you want the shop and cars I would like the shipping cost no packing fees.

The buliding is the small red one in the PIC. I have no use for it at this point.

Funny thing I bet you had my money and I wish I was your age. Getting old blows after your are 21.Wink [;)]

       Cuda Ken

PS, get Mon and Dad to buy you new curtains or make a back drop fast! They blow chunks!Approve [^]

my best loco is my 2-6-2 because it can run best overall,my northern goes kinda slow but it can pull what you want it to pull. I have a ez command as my power supply. when i said that i add another story to my cliff i meant i took another half inch foam coner to my cliff ot make it a total of four stories high.i painted that last section with the little paint i had and added roacks to it. the ballasting didn't go so well.and finnally my track is a doulbe oval of worthless (train horn blows loudly to cover up word)...............LOL

I had one of those Life-Like standard line diesels at one time, I think it was a GP38. It was part of an Armed Forces commemorative set. The loco never did run well and I eventually threw the mechanism away and put the body on an Athearn chassis.

I'm guessing that the Santa Fe unit is either a GP35 or GP38. The closest I could find in the archive is 3460 (GP35) and 3510 (GP38).

GP35 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=48654

GP38 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=487561
