Another nail driven in Uncle Petes Coffin. In addition to Screwing over their employees, (Any inovation made by a UP employee is property of Union Pacific) They now want to charge us for participating in our favoirte hobby. (Ok in my case as well as many others, obsession) I Strongly feel that If Union Pacific is going to be such an *** about this that All Modelers and Model Manufacturors should Boy Cott Union Pacific, and resort to hand painting and making their own decals from Photographs.

Oh wait. Railfanning in this country is illegal thanks to them now to.

James.

I can certainly see licensing their logo, it makes a lot of sense. The thing that really angers me, though, is that they have to charge money for manufacturers to use it. Aren't they making enough cash, already? My advice for the model train manufacturers is to make as many UP trains as they possibly can now before UP actually goes ahead with this, so that they will have lots of UP trains already on hand for later on.

O.K., I LOVE the UP, so I don't think this is good or bad. I mean, they have a right to protect there logo, so why not make a few extra $$$? Locomotives and cars are already expensive, that's the way everything is these days, I'm afraid......
