Great work everyone, RRCanuck, I love your sky! I just wanted to get involved in the fun this weekend, although I haven't got anything new to post, but I have taken a few pics from different angles that I thought you all might enjoy.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did in making them. Mike
enjoyed the GO train pix, RRCANUCK. Reminds me of numerous biz trips I made to Toronto before retiring. Nice city.
Other neat pix on this thread too.

That Cumberland Station in particular is going to be very impressive when it's done. I'm curious to know if you are using modular pieces to make it (and whose)?
Cheers.
Thanks for hosting this week, Sue. I add my compliments on your bridge. That tunnel and hill ain't too shabby, neither.
Nice work, everyone. Some of us have done good things over the winter.
RRCanuck, nice photos. That fourth is quite dramatic with the dark skies...could use maybe a bit of lightning? I really like how you got the signals to shine so clearly. Nice retaining wall and passenger station, too.

Sorry for taking up so much space in this posting, but I will be out of the country on a project for 5 months and will probably be unable to log in at all during that time. Soooo, figured I'd post my 5-month quota now. Here's a bit of a tour of the layout following a GO commuter train out of town and heading for the 'burbs. Skies are photoshopped - still haven't gotten around to painting my walls anything other than monotone blue. Cheers.
Lee,
Great shots. You have been busy. I can almost see the glare off the metal roof.

Yoshi, Wow, those hills blend nicely between the tunnel and bridge. It is great to see it before the trees. That will be the next step.
Art, Fun scene. Are there only ladies at that sports car club? That sounds like my kind of friends. How are your trees coming?
Alan, Great shot. I love the name of your RR.
Chad, Thanks for sharing the laser cut kit. They are sure fun to assemble.
beegle, Does that mean that you might be sharing your photos with us?
Derrick, What size is your design?
MrB, I assume that you will be off skiing so we won't see your photos this weekend.

I just checked my box of figures that I haven't put on the layout yet. It's all sets like "Drunken Sailors" or "Full-Figured Folks." What are you doing to attract such a nice crowd? Is it the cars? (Or is there a set of WS or Preiser figures called "Sports Car Club Ladies" that I've somehow missed?)
Railroadyoshi - good to see such nice progress. Looks like local New England railroads have another champion modeller.

Great work so far everyone! Since I have Thursday to Monday off for break, I have been working a lot in the basement. I've gotten three con-cor kits done, and I've practiced my weathering on some cheap life-like cars. I've also drawn up a plan I think I'll go with for the layout. Check out the link below! If I get anything else significant done, I'll post later.

I promised pics of my new GP9, but it will have to wait until around 6 pm. I forgot to load my WPF pics onto the flash drive this morning, so that will have to be done painstakenly on dial-up. (grrr), but I will attempt to do it. Some comments on the above pictures:
Sue-beautiful work! Your scenery is great and the bridge adds so much to it!
Yoshi-Nice shot of the SP switcher, and the surrounding hill is coming along great!
Art-great little scene you have there. Nice work!
Alan-great work for preliminary details. Keep at it!
Chadw-well assembled kit, glad you like the results. As far as camera's focus, it can be touchy at certain points, my Kodak's auto focus cuts out at only a certain zoom point, a little past half way on optical zoom it just can't focus, so I know how frustrating that is sometimes.
Great work everyone!!

I made this Barmills Billboard last night. It was my first laser cut kit and I like the results.
You can't tell in the photo but the letters are coated in yellow Hi-lighter on top of the yellow paint. The Hi-lighter makes them glow under a black-lite. I would have had a pic of that but the camera wouldn't focus under a black-lite.
Still in preliminary detail stage here.
Passenger train being turned at Arock for the trip back down to Hardspot.
Too cold for doggy fence work (20 Degrees), so I went down to the train room just in time to catch the Sublime Sports Car Club arrive at Betty's Gifts for a little shopping. Had to take a couple pics. Yes a big truck went by and splashed the blue house. Hoping for rain soon to wash it off, other wise Al will have to get the hose out.

The shape of that hill looks great! Very natural! Will you be adding any shrubs or trees?

Art, Your pictures are so great. I will be looking forward to them.
If you are having company for Easter Dinner, you want that train room in tip top shape.
You might start looking for the logs for the bridge. I cut many and let them dry for a couple of years. I cut young trees to find them straight enough. Lots of them curve as they dry. Have fun.
Sue, that log bridge is so cool. I will be copying that one for these days.
I have been putting in a doggy fence and cleaning the train room for Easter dinner, so no pics for a while. I will have to settle for enjoying the progress you people make.
I am up bright and early today, so I thought that I would start the fun before I go to work.
The clouds are outside.
