BLI Blue Series AC6000CW for CPR?
Posted by BNSF4ever on Friday, March 9, 2007 2:40 PM
Broadway Limited is releasing the GE AC6000CW in its Blue Series. It has two roadnumbers for Canadian Pacific. I did not think CPR ever ordered any. Is this a fantasy scheme? If so, why pick CPR?

BLI seems to like fantasy schemes on their AC6000s. No, CP never had any. They do an SP one, too. SP ordered 3, but were delivered in UP paint, not SP paint. They seem to be painting it up for everything they can, being as the AC6000 in real life sold to just 3 railroads, one being in Australia.

Canadian Pacific Railway managment ordered the SD90MAC Convertables and the AC4400CW, so why not the AC6000CW? It would have been a perfect locomotive for heavy mountain hauling.
