I was just wondering if any modelers whos' layouts have been featured in MRR or another RR mag are members of the forum. Are any of you out there?[:)]

I don't know how "famous" a published author is supposed to be, but I was in the June, 1997 MR (a shot of my layout was my friend Don Mitchell's first MR cover photo), the June, 1996 "Model Railroading," and my module group was in "Railmodel Journal." Given that, my opinions on this forum are free and no doubt worth every cent...[:p]

I'm not 'famous' yet, but I'm working on it.[:D][:D][:D][:D]

So far, I'm the most famous modeller in our house, a legend in my own lunchtime.

"Weren't you also in an episode of "Tracks Ahead" as well?"

I forgot about that! The Tracks Ahead people sent me a video containing what was left after editing out most of what they shot at my place, but I never saw the entire episode.

I'm glad you liked the Northern Nevada layout. It, and now its successor the WP 8th Sub are goners. I hope to start on a new, bigger and better layout once our new house is finished.

They are gone? In a way I am sorry to hear that. But I wish you luck on your new layout. Hopefully you can make another appearence in Model Railroader when it gets complete.

I assume the new layout is WP? What part?

I'm not famous but my Santa Fe hi-rail layout was the main feature of the Sept 04 Classic Toy Trains magazine & I authored another article that will appear in CTT next year.

I also dabble in HO.

I am a writer by trade and if you have a cool layout and live in Northern Virginia, I will do a write-up on your layout for free if MR or another magazine agrees to publish it. Just drop me a line at dvergun@same.org.

Actually I don't know what I'm modeling next. I have a lot of WP stuff but am seriously considering a freelanced railroad drawing heavily from the WP and UP. I'll post more as I know more about what I really want from the next layout.

I'm not famous, but many might say I'm INFAMOUS!

Since relatively few folks in the hobby read Finescale Railroader, I have reason to doubt that I'm "famous." However, two articles featuring portions of my layout and several individual photos have appeared in that magazine in the last couple of years.
