Woodland Scenics tree material
Posted by Glen1 on Thursday, March 1, 2007 3:04 PM

Does anyone know what the name of the material is that Woodland Scenics uses for their fine foliage in the plastic boxes? This is the material that comes in different colurs, such as light green or medium green. You can separate the material to make very convincing trees.

I'd like to know if this is available in bulk from a florist or someone else so I can try making my own.

Thanks.

I know it as micro fiber and it is used as pillow stuffing for one thing. I got some in white at a Michaels craft shop. I have also seen it at fabric stores. I have colored it with spray and dry brushing with acrylics.
If you think you have it right, your standards are too low. my photos http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/ARTHILL/ Art
