1880's ore cars
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, February 25, 2007 12:30 PM

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows where I can find photos of late 1880's era ore cars. I am modeling that era of the DSS&A (northern Michigan) and having trouble finding any examples of these cars. I think these would be a wood body and frame. I am not certain of length though. Any help out there? Thanks a bunch.

Hi,

We just had a discussion about that topic on the post Pre-Big One Modeler's Musket and Sabre Club

It is a post for pre-historic (as far a model railroad manufacturers are concerned) modelers to exchange ideas. Come by and say howdy. But for sure it addresses your question in depth, because I have the same dilemma.
