Blackstone HOn3 Mike minimum radius?
Posted by PHARMD98233 on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 9:20 PM

What is the minimum operation radius that a Blackstone HOn3 Mikado will negotiate?  I am trying to determine if one of these engines will operate on our club narrow gage track.

Thanks

Is this what you are after?

Copied from Blackstone's website.

"The K-27 is designed for smooth operation around curves as tight as an 18" radius."

Just a bit further...from everything I've heard, it'll work on any radius it looks at all good as a 2-8-2 on.

Of course, model railroaders often press their luck on such things as radius, but the initial reports on this loco are that it is one heck of a model.
