Come on KATO and Atlas!
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, February 16, 2007 11:02 PM

Come on guys I want to see some new KATO and Atlas Dash 8 and 9 locos(and newer) with Santa Fe graphics on (in N). I haven't found anything produced since '05 I hope they will do more Yellow/Blue 'Freight Warbonnets in the ner future!.

Anyone else want to see some more Santa Fe Dash locos from them? (or something newer i.e. AC4400CW or ES44Ac or ES44DC)?

No. I would like to see something that compliments my mid-80s theme either an SDP40 or an SDP45.  I need the boiler section to create SDP35s from my Atlas SD35s.

I too would like Kato to release some SDP45,FP45 & F45's. I would also like some new big diesels like the ES44Ac or the SD70ACe.

Cheers

Actually, I'd like to see someone come out with a better N scale 4-6-2 Pacific steam loco. The Model Power version was lousy!...

You can also put me down for a Kato Santa Fe blue and yellow F-7 A & B set too.

Lately I designed an N-scale layout in which I wanted to model local modern. That means Norfolk Southern. My son and I headed out to the main and within 2-3 hours saw 6 double headed trains. 11 Dash-9's and a Dash-8. The fact that none existed on the market changed my mind and I went with an expanded Rock Ridge and Train City in HO--no Kato or Altlas Engines.

I'm starting to collect a few Atlas Dash 8's, but no luck so far with KATO Dash 9's, EVERYONE has been sold out of them for a long time- well before I started collecting, and finding any on ebay is extremey scarce, and not sure what you'd be getting:( Oh, to travel back in time, I could get any loco I wanted when they were releasedBanged Head [banghead]Sigh [sigh] I sure would like to get some Katos, and wish they would make some Dash's with the Yellow/Blue livery even if Santa Fe ever painted any Dash 9's in that livery (or GEVO's). Still wolud be cool if they would do some (sort of a concept?)
