i'm 17. just started in the hobby.

its nice to see that there are people my age that are in this hobby. i was a show recently and i was the youngest person there i think that was actually buying stuff. not just there with dad because mom was out shopping or something.

if any of the people in the 16-18 yr. old range want to talk. i'm on MSN all the time or i have AIM but never use it.

I'm glad this question was asked. I thought this forum was skewed to a younger modelling audience - now I know. This is not intended as a value judgement, just an observation.

I,m 75 and glad I had this wonderful hobby to fall back on when I retired. My mother said the first word that I said was train( I think it might have been the second). I've been building HO trains since I was 12.

I guess I'm Too young for Rachel Welch too, but just about old enough for Elizabeth Hurley. I'm 33, have been a fan of railroading all my life since my grandfather hand build brass steam engines in narrow gauge. I didn't get my model railroad start until I was 12 though. Tough to stop now, too much fun.

I'm 34 and have been a train nut since about age eight, although I took a break from model railroading from ages 19 to 33.

I am, in what they call the golden years, 66. I'll be damned if I know why they call them golden, it seems like a bit of the body kind of gives out or gets arthritis with each passing year over 55. You kids are in your golden years so enjoy them, old age comes way too soon.

Too young for Rachel Welch and too old for Brittany Spears.

   Have fun with your trains

I'm 17 right now, so I'm one of the younger people in this hobby. I've loved trains all my life and my interest has done nothing but grow over the years.
