I just came back from one of my local WMs and am pleased to report that they had the Athearn 1/87 and 1/50 John Deere tractors in the clearance aisle.  HO tractors were $1.00 each.  IIRC they had 50 series and Model D with rubber tires and Model B and Waterloo Boys with steel wheels.  The 1/50 selection was about the same, $3.00 each.
