Bachmann GE 44-ton loco - Interchangeable shells?
Posted by Kurt_Laughlin on Saturday, January 6, 2007 12:30 PM

I bought a used Bachmann Spectrum GE 44-ton switcher that had some scuffs and was missing a few handrails.  Bachmann doesn't sell the "old" (80010 through 80034) shells as spares any more and says the "new" (80035 and higher) shells are different, but I suspect it's due to the lighting and wiring rather than anything mechanical.  Does anyone have both an "old" and "new" loco that could be checked for shell interchangeability?  The end game is that if a "new" shell will work I'll just buy it.

 Thanks,

KL
