L-girder benchwork and curves?
Posted by electrolove on Sunday, December 31, 2006 3:24 PM
I need to build a L-girder benchwork with a 180 degree curve. I have seen pictures of the construction somewhere. I remember that one of the methods is to use 1 x 2" from the center of the curve and out (making triangles) but that's the only part I remember. Can someone please point me to a webpage with a picture?

If you have or can get a copy of the Jan. 2004 Model Railroader, there is a picture of Allen McClelland's benchwork for the Virginian and Ohio. Page 112 shows his method fairly well.
