Finally got my American Flyer HO Hudson running!

Its been about 5 years since my last attempt to fix this loco. Finally located a worm gear since the old one had missing teeth. Still can't believe how loud metal gears are!! Got the smoke box running and a new headlight and now it chugs away almost like new. I still have a tiny bit of resistance due to my not having a quatering tool and had to line it up by eye but I can live with having to run it at a slightly higher speed when I want it slow.
Then again I'm sure in 1965 steam ho locos didn't exactly crawl to todays standards [8D]
Just wanted to share my joy. Anyone know what one of these is worth nowadays? Not that I want to sell it, its just more of a curiousity (sp?) thing.

word of advice.
whatever you do, DON'T SELL IT.
A piece like that is worth doing your full homework before making any desicions.
American Flyer made very few HO pieces and there is no telling it's worth.
In the meantime, mark it sentimental value and put a display case around it when it dies again. If I find out a dollar quote, I will relay.

Thanks for the tip, like I said I've put too much effort into it to sell it and probably wouldn't want to anyways but if you do find a dollar value for it I'd be interested. He he Antique's Roadshow here I come!! (Just kiddin :) )
