I love that 2 guys place.  I read stuff there all the time.  Good place!  I'm not familiar with the other.  I'll have to check it out.

I've all but begged all of yall to come visit. These are some really cool sites. This isn't the only MRR site by a long shot. Not the best either by a long shot.

The level of expertise here, or should I say the general lack there of, pretty much necessitates participation in other formers. I deal in about half a dozen others and in those it's almost universally considered that this forum is basic entry level and dominated by newbies, as well as not generally the best place to get sound advice on technical or advanced modeling questions.

Not much looking elsewhere yet.  I don't mind posting help (I hope it's help) for newbies and i get a lot of good fast help myself here.  I don't want "super advanced" stuff and opinions about minutiae...  BUT... if this doesn't pick up and we don't get the "watched topic" (at least) back then I will look elsewhere.  Sad to say the July 12 "improvement" doesn't seem to have been an improvement.

I've been to some of those sites.  They are good.  I'll be checking out the rest, thanks!

I've looked around - they're all the same people saying all the same things. Plus this site has 4 - 5 times the amount of traffic as any others.

But I still keep registering...

Yes, I am also on a few other forums: GNRHS Great Northern up to the 1970 merge to BN, Free-mo modular group,  Railway Operations and Industies operations, and the Digitrax users forum (probably way more information than I will ever need, but occasional useful tidbits). These four keep me going with more than enough to keep me busy. I check my e-mail several times a day. They have all recently gone to a new format that enables me to scan their indexes to see if there are any I want to look at., If not then I can quickly delete it and not spend all day deleting hundreds of individual e-mails.

I was a host on Prodigy classic's religion forums.  I also have two MSN groups which don't really do much.  I was a founding member of the WABC radio/Hannity forums but my disgustingly honest opinions hurt certian whiny station program directors feelings.  So now I'm the most evil of all the evil to that site.  Their loss.  Most of the other political sites only have people from one side of the aisle.  No challenge there.

There's two other sites,

http://www.radioshacksucks.com

and

http://www.ourworldasweseeit.net

that I've posted on.  I think the original post might have been asking only about RR hobby forums, but one is enough for me at this time.
