Wiring a caboose for interior lighting
Posted by tstage on Thursday, July 27, 2006 10:21 PM
Can anyone direct me to a tutorial or information on interior lighting an HO caboose?  For starters, I'd like to wire up one of my Walthers cabooses.  Is there anything else that I would need besides pickups on the truck, light bulb, resistor, and wire for running it on DCC?  Thanks.

Tom

A capacitor, a pretty big one and a rectifier. A friend of mine puts LEDs in all his passenger cars and cabooses. I'm not sure how big a capacitor he uses but his lights never flicker. Also I would use an LED instead of a bulb. Bulbs are just going to draw way more power.
