# 0 brushes to pain in numbers?

has anyone tried using a #0 bru***o paint over numbers of model railroad freight cars to change them and gotten good results? i saw it done in a book put out by model railroader where a modeler painted a 5 so it became a 6.

If you have a VERY steady hand it could work. Personally I couldnt do it. If I want to change a number I rub off the old one and put on dry transfer decals.

I usally just cut them out of decal sets, sometimes one at a time. It's tedious work but well worth the effort.

At one time many modelers did all the lettering by hand. If you want to pursue this, you might take a calligraphy class - one that uses brushes not pens.
