Have to agree with simon1966 on the Burlington E-units, close second is a GP-20 (Chinese Red & Grey of course)

Have to list them--all steam:
SP AC-6 Cab Forward 4-8-8-2
DM&IR M-3/4 2-8-8-4 (especially with the Elesco FWH)
Rio Grande L-131 2-8-8-2
Rio Grande F-81 2-10-2 (big brute with a little-bitty Vandy tender)
Rio Grande L-105 4-6-6-4 (the big Baldwins, not the UP clones)
Rio Grande M-64 4-8-4 (prettiest Northerns that Baldwin ever built IMO)
Rio Grande C-45 2-8-0 (cute and chunky and powerful)
C&O H-7 2-8-8-2
SP Mt-2,3,4,5 4-8-2 (best looking Mountains I ever saw)
WP 251 series 2-8-8-2 (prototype for the later Missabe Yellowstones)

Well I like power and nothing says power like a Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 Big Boy, with a 4-6-6-4 Challenger and a UP 4-8-4 Northern sitting next to it.

My favorite steam engines -- GS-4, challenger, royal hudson, and the ac-12. Also the N&W class J

For diesel: AC4400cw, AC6000CW, P42, GE evolution series

Electric -- TGV and Acela
Nataraj -- Southern Pacific RULES!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The GS-4 was the most beautiful steam engine that ever touched the rails.

Steam would have to be the UP Big Boys and Challengers and the UP 4-8-4 Northern #844 and Diesel would have to be NS SD60's, any IC locomotive that have worn or are still wearing the Death Star logo.

I'd have to go with Dave Chappelle with this one, the SD70ACE (not MAC) looks great in almost every livery, especially "The Katy". Cool pictures by the way, Dave. [8D]

These are my favourite steam locos...

Ubiquitous JNR steam power.

The ultimate development of European steam.

I looked after this one for 13 years...

All the best,

Mark.

Either the AEM-7 "toaster" or the GP40. I've seen more of those geeps than any other loco ever.
