Life Like 0-4-0 Dockside

Alright so I finally got the last box of my grandfather's old model trains out of storage yesterday, and along with innumerable old Athearn passenger cars and F7s there was a Life Like (non-proto) 0-4-0 dockside steamer.

I've seen lots of repowering kits for Bowser's old dockside but none for a Life Like. I'd like to make it run more prototypically (this one is faster than my P42s) and a good bit smoother. Anyone have any ideas?

If I can't repower it I'm going to at least detail it as a static model, but I'd love to get another of my grandfather's old models up to modern standards for my layout.
