Engineers: I read somewhere that a fellow used alcohol and water mixture to help stop hazing. He paints the area to be decaled with the mixture before applying the decals. I use decal set two or three times lightly and at times still get ahazing. If you use too much, the decal will become distorted. Anyone ever heard of the alcohol mixture? Happy Jose

Now for the best decal finish, use 75% blue windshield washer fluid (which has a small amount of alcohol in it) and 25% Future Floor wax sprayed on with an air brush as a base coat. Put the decals on as perfectly as possible as they cannot be moved too much after applying. let them air dry. Then coat with the same mixture as before and you will never see decal film again. It's an amazing process that has to be tried to be believed. If you add a few drops of flat clear acrylic paint to the last coat you will have a Dull*Cote like fini***hat will amaze you and all who gaze upon your masterpiece.

If you apply the decals over a gloss surface you will not have hazing or frosting as some call it. Putting down a small puddle of MicroSet and floating the decal onto that helps a lot too. I can get by decalling on "satin" but not flat finishes with that technique, and then before the decal is dry a little MicroSol or Solvaset around the edge and the evaporating MicroSet wicks it up under the decal quite well.
What could have happened.... did.
