STAYING ON TOPIC!!!
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, April 1, 2006 12:24 PM
It seems that knowone can stay on the topic at hand. Someone post a topic i.e. favorite loco's and then spins into thing completely different. What's the deal, some people can't post there idea's or what.[:(!][V][soapbox]

Relax. One of the oldest sayings on the internet is "Drift Happens". People have been complaining about thread topic drift for over a decade, and it's not going to change now.

If it gets out of hand, that's what moderators are for. If you have a complaint, contact the moderator.

If you think this is bad, try posting on rec.models.railroad. There are no moderators on r.m.r, but then, it doesn't shut down and is not beholden to any corporate entity like Atlas, Kalmbach, Yahoo, or anyone else. It's the closest thing one can get to "free speech" on the internet.

I hear ya! I love cats too. But I HATE when cat hair gets all over the place. And ham sandwiches are better for lunch than a bowl of Captain Crunch, don't you think??? Which reminds me: I once had a raw potato that looked JUST LIKE an Alco RS-3. No kidding!

I prefer dogs myself. I never really found a good use for a cat... not a live one anyway. And speaking of
football... how 'bout them Gators and the fine recruiting this spring? Dave

Way cool! I'm guessing that Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands were missing too. Would I be safe in assuming that you waxed the car afterwards??

Does anyone out there know where I might find a driver for an Aztec 2316R sound card to suit WIndows 3.11? Trying to turn an old 486 into a streaming MP3 player[:o)]

You hit the nail squarely on the head, Dave. Couldn't have said it better myself. The fumes from fingernail polish remover make my daughter faint too. Tom Russell, don't be shy, feel free to chime in!

P.S. Nothing quite as satisfying as a tightly focused forum thread, I always say!

You just HAD to muck up a serious topic discussion with your silliness, didn't you? For shame (LOL)!

Yeah, I know, I can't get that Atlas Trainman song out of my mind!

And I'm happy about that!

But what about the people that reply to EVERY single post and don't offer any of their own input , they just reiterate what others have already said, ie: I agree with Gumby4 and 1shado1 people should have to ................................................................................

We have both dogs(2) and a cat. The cat is pretty good at scaring the field mice away. The dogs bark at everything that moves.

Speaking of basketball, who else is rooting for George Mason tonight?

Enjoy

I think you should really stay on the topic at hand. What was it, anyway? Oh yea, I never had a state-shaped steak, but I did have an Alco RS Something that was mistaken for a German Shepard. Speaking of which, how about those Wolverines?

Boy, we're good, eh?

Well I, for one, actually agree with Chip! And, I do not have a jar named George either.

Does anyone watch LOST? Who do you think the guy they're keeping locked up in the hatch is. I think he is one of the "others". Speaking of the others, who do you all think the others are and what is the Dahrma Initiative?[?]

TOM, around here you can real step in it , Lots of loose screws and train nuts. I am not flaming you on this but a newbie that steps in and inflames the crowd can really get it thrown back at ya. ( And some times it is really funny) [(-D]

How about them Sabres !!
