It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

Well the T1 is way too modern and no way the Pennsy is going to put any express behind a plodding 2-8-2. So that leaves the Atlantic or the Pacific. Unfortuantely I know very little about PA locos and the 4-6-2 listed might be a later model. The 4-4-2 would have been a very common loco at that time..... Hmmm well I'm going with the 4-6-2.

If I had really read the options before I clicked the last one, I would have guessed the 4-6-2. Usually when I don't know, I guess the last one.

They tried to take water on the fly, but were traveling too fast. The water rushing up the scoop blew out the tender deck, and very little ended up in the tank.

I am devestated that it was not a K4s. The only thing helping with this news is that Lindberg had some very bad politics and social views. [:O]

PRR E6 Atlantic #460, known as the Lindbergh Atlantic, traveled 216 miles in 2 hours and 55 minutes, averaging 74MPH to do it. This was 1927 if you didn't know.
