I have Tony's CMX car also, it works great!!! Just make sure you use only the recommended chemicals in the tanker.
Dick If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!! Learn from the mistakes of others, trust me........you can't live long enough to make all the mistakes yourself, I tried !! I have the CMX Clean Machine too, and am very happy with it. I use Goo-Gone in it.

I've got Tony's CMX clean machine, and I'm very impressed with it. You have to be careful what you use in it though, really aggressive chimecals (laquer thinner and carb cleaner) will eat the pad that comes with it, but he sends plenty of extra. Look for it at Tony's train exchange if you're interested.

I used to have one that was a half caboose and half tanker. (Kind of a work train caboose) It had a felt pad on the bottom and you filled the tanker with fluid.
I wish I could find another one. I think it was a Roundhouse kit. (does this ring a bell with anyone?)

Lets see, I have two abrasive kits installed in box cars, a liquid car ( don't recall the mfg, its that old) and one from centerline products uses goo gone and works pretty well, If you looking for a expensive one , Aztec mfg has several. Oh almost forgot, a good ole bright boy also..

Here is the one I have used for a long time. It uses a bright boy under it and works real well.

I have an IHC track cleaning caboose (liquid cleaner). I am making a masonite/freight car track cleaner too. So far I just use the bright boy mostly.

I use metal polish on the rails and have not had to clean the track for 2 1/2 years now.
I threw all my track cleaning cars away!

i made several slider cars for my home n scale layout. i usually run one in each train and they do a good job. i have also made some in ho to run at my club once a week. the track there hasn't been cleaned in several months. but i do clean the track on my home layout with track cleaning liquid with a rag if i haven't run anything for a while. if you can get scraps of masonite the cost of making the cars is zero. 1/4" for ho and 1/8" for n. i used the backing from a picture frame for my n scale cars. the picture frame had a picture of my sister in law in it. oh well.

I dont... then again, i don't have much track to clean - so a lint free cloth and alcohol is my method.
I only have like a 22" or 24" circle of B'mann EZ track (or whatever comes in their N Scale non-spectrum circle sets)...at home... [censored] college
[#offtopic]
[rant] I wish I could afford one of the Spectrum sets.... or better than thatsomewhere PERMANENT to model... again, [censored] college. [/rant]
