The Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum in NE Ohio

Did you know that in NE Ohio there is a Model Railroad Museum. It is located in Mentor, Ohio, about 15 miles east of Cleveland.

This is an all gauge model museum, including HO, N, Z, O (3 rail), S and G (gauge1) Layouts.

HO is 16 foot by 40 foot layout with 4 main lines operating with DC – DCC control. Construction is about 80% done and it is operational.

N Scale is 4 foot by 6 foot with a 30 foot loop being added. It has 2 main lines and also has DC –DCC control.

Z scale is still under construction.

O Gauge will have to layouts. One is a 12 foot by 8 foot tin plate layout that will be typical of mid 1950’s layout. Construction on this was just started last week by OTTS (Ohio Toy Train Summit) which is an East side O gauge club.

and here is the track plan for the large 25 foot by 60 foot layout with 3 main lines.

If you are ever in Cleveland Area, be sure to stop by the Museum.

The really good thing with this museum is you can bring your engines and rolling stock and run it on their large layouts. Cost - Free
